Design the frame and graphic as one system
SEG does not work well as an afterthought. Frame size, extrusion style, fabric stretch, sewing tolerance, lighting, and installation access all affect whether the finished graphic looks clean.
- Confirm exact visible graphic area and overall frame dimensions before art release.
- Leave room for installers to seat corners and tension fabric without damaging adjacent scenic finishes.
- Plan replacement graphics if the activation travels or sponsor art changes between markets.
Coordinate hard scenic and soft graphics early
Painted walls, vinyl wraps, rigid signs, acrylic, dimensional logos, and SEG panels each have different tolerances. The shop plan should show where each finish starts, stops, overlaps, and gets protected during transport.
Pack for the crew that installs it
A beautiful build can still fail on site if the right graphic is buried in the wrong case. Labels, drawings, install order, hardware bags, and protection materials should be built into the production plan.
Scenic and SEG should be planned together so the structure, print, finish, packing, and install sequence all support the same event-day result.
